چکیده
Impacted mandibular third molars are commonly associated with pericoronal radiolucencies. Dentigerous cysts is the most common developmental cyst of jaw. Ameloblastoma, and Odontogenic keratocyst have similar clinical radiographic features but they differ in histopathological treatment modalities. This article presents case a 35year old male patient complaint mild pain swelling, posteriorly right quadrant. On examination diagnosis was on aspiration cytology it suggestive keratocyst. Pericoronal radiolucencies relatively cases related to impacted therefore should be carefully evaluated respect clinical, aspects.

Odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) is one of the most aggressive odontogenic cysts owing to its relatively high recurrence rate and its tendency to invade adjacent tissue. Radiographically odontogenic keratocyst can be of different types – follicular, envelopmental, replacemental, extraneous and collateral. The biological behaviour, prognosis, recurrence and therapeutic approaches vary in different st...

The clinical, radiographic, and anamnestic features lea...

متن کاملA Case Report of Keratocyst Odontogenic Tumor Mimicking a Lateral Periodontal Cyst
Keratocyst odontogenic tumor is a benign cyst usually affecting the posterior segments of the mandible in the second and third decades of life. This lesion is detected by a multi locular radiolucency in radiographs. This cyst is rare in anterior segments of the mandible and older ages. The aim of this case report is to report a 63-year-old male affected by keratocyst odontogenic in the anterior...

OKC has been of special interest because of aggressive behavior, specific histopathological features, and high recurrence rate.4 The WHO has designated keratocyst OKC as a keratocystic odontogenic tumor because of its neoplastic nature and defined as a benign unior multicystic intraosseous tumor of odontogenic origin, with a characteristic lining of parakeratinized stratified squamous epitheliu...
